Hidden just behind the corner of the dark wall Lev's skinny legs quiver slightly as she debates on what to do. All three dogs were now aware of her presence, and not in a way she particularly liked.

Lev's hind paws twitch as if she is about to flee. All along her spine the short brown hairs are raised in alarm. She shakes her head nervously and peeks around the corner of the building, exposing half of her wide-eyed face.

Her liver-colored nose twitches as she stares through the darkness, one-eyed at the trio before her. One of her very large perked ears is exposed, making her face appear to belong to a dog large in size.

[Silvie]

Lydda catches sight of the mysterious sound-maker in the late-night moonlight, realizing it is a dog. Twitching her tail nervously, she takes a tentative step forward, trying eagerly to catch his or her scent in the rainy darkness..

As she realizes the scent's owner is a female, she wonders how the other dogs will react to her presence...
Would they try to make friends her?
Would they attack her?
Or would they simply ignore her..?

Only time would tell..

[Darkfur]

Rusty analyses the detail on the dogs ear as it peaks out. Seeing part of this dogs facial features. "well are you going to come out or are you going to stay like that all day?" She questions. Not really bothered about this dog seemingly large from a hint of the ear. Rusty sat down. "Well i ain't moving." She frowns, waiting to see if this stray was just going to run off or not.

[Silvie]

Once again squinting suspiciously, Lydda remains rigid, keeping a steady gaze on the shadowed face in the alleyway. Her tail bristling, she dips her head the slightest bit as she acknowledges Rusty's words, but remains silent as she waits for an answer in the tense moment.

(Nice updates Silvie! I like the color choices: they are my favourite on this forum! Not sure why I don't RP the stray dog one in blue though; I guess Lev and blue just don't match^^!)

Lev's brown eyes widen slightly. She steps out from behind the cover of the wall, her skinny body still shrouded in darkness. Lev keeps her her tail low as she walks forward a few paces and steps into the brighter section of the alley just before the group of dogs. She lowers her head, shy at all the attention.

Lev tries to keep still but her legs shake slightly as she stares up at the group of dogs, eyes wide. Up close their differences in size were more apparent.

[Yeah, I figured it needed a little touching up. I should probably also come up with a color for Lydda.]

Noticing the dog move out from her hiding spot, Lydda relaxes as she notices the stray is not showing any signs of aggression. Careful to keep her tail out of sight and her ears slightly folded, she flickers her bright blue gaze around the stray rather than looking directly at her, and waits for her to say something, unsure of what to say herself and therefore remaining silent.

[Atropine]

Cobalt retreats a few steps as both Lydda and Lev come into view - he analyses both, his brow casting a shadow over his face as he struggles to decipher them through the night's blackness. His tail remains bristled and stretched out from his abdomen, limbs tense and ears perked forward. Cobalt was uncertain and not willing to immediately trust these strangers; he would not be letting his guard down too quickly.

Lev notes the large gray dog nervously- its energy was more tense than the other two. Her hind paw takes a tenative step backward and Lev keeps her attention on the three dogs beofre her. Her eyes meet with Lydda's and she flashes a small smile in her direction.

[Silvie]

Lydda tenses, feeling the apprehension of the dog behind her, the one who had been with Rusty and had not greeted the young mix. Is he an unfriendly fellow? she thinks. Twitching her tail as she ponders, she notices the newcomer give her a small smile, and shifts uncomfortably, wondering if she should reply.

At last, Lydda smiles awkwardly back, keeping her head down and eyes averted so that the other dogs didn't see her smile, and so she didn't make the stranger uncomfortable by staring at her.

Lev silently watches the Australian Shepherd return her smile with an equally shy one. Her tail twitches in a single, very small wag in mute response. Feeling a bit more comortable she lifts her head a little higher. "S-so, are you guys a pack?" she asks to the group at large. Her voice is soft and high ptiched but rings nicely in the quiet alley.

[Silvie]

[Oh wow Wyborn xD Lydda's a Siberian Husky and border collie mix; kinda far from Australian Shepherd but it's okay XD]

Lydda's ears immediately fold back against her head in shame; she hadn't realized how close she was standing to Rusty. Quickly moving away from Rusty and the other dog, she stares at the ground, scuffing her paws in the alleyway. "No," she replies at last. "At least, I'm not."

[Atropine]

"No," Cobalt echoes Lydda's response, his voice low and rumbling against the light sound of the rain. "We've just met... And where are you from?" he inquires bluntly, a sudden wave of curiosity overcoming him. His posture slackens a little, realising that neither of the dogs seemed to pose a threat.

[Darkfur]

"No" Rusty replies after everybody else. She stands back up smelling the wind. From the corner of her eye seeing Cobalt more relaxed. A slight smile appearing on her face, glad to see that he was not so tense. Rusty looks a Lydda who had just stepped away from her, Rusty steps back slightly, as to not seem so much of a threat.

Lev's chuckles internally. Her rib cage twitches jerkily as she stifles her reaction to the chorus of 'no's and 'step-backs'. Exhaling sharply out of her nose she ends her fit.

Lev sits down on the gritty gravel. The dampened grit makes her breath catch in surprise but she remains there. "I came from... wait, why? Does it matter?" she inquires, gazing suspiciously at each stray in turn. Her back leg shifts outwards.

[Silvie]

Lydda, now sitting a few pawsteps away from Rusty and the other dog, looks curiously at this new dog out of the corner of her eye. "No," she replies quietly. Shifting herself a bit, she glances at the unfamiliar dog. "...He just wants to know."

Feeling a bit more comfortable after the wave of awkward responses, Lydda edges closer to Rusty as a sharp wind buffets them with a wall of rain, stronger than before. The young Siberian-collie mix looks up to the sky, which is swimming with clouds. "Looks like more rain," she woofs lightly.

(Time to revive this old thing! Haha, first post of the New Year too^^!)

Lev sighs as she follows the white and black female's gaze. The clouds did indeed look darker in comparison to an hour before. "Time to find shelter..." she murmers absentmindedley.

[Atropine]

Cobalt huffs a little as Lev doesn't answer his question - he wasn't used to not getting a straightforward answer. He rises heavily, and shakes his fur free from the dew droplets which had gathered on his coarse, slightly matted pelt. "Still hungry," he mutters, grinding his back teeth and pacing a little.

Lev starts a bit- she had forgotten about the presence of the large gray dog, partially hidden in the back of the group by the shadowy alley. Swallowing nervously she wondered what the large male was hungry for exactly; cannibalism wasn't unheard of...
