If you have a tablet, draw on a table or desk of some sort with the tablet on your lap. That helped me a lot.

Cool topic Spirit.
When drawing animals and nature, try not to look at other artists work for ideas. Look at photographs or go outside and see it in the real world. Nature dosen't lie, people and art can in terms of correct anatomy and details. Unless you are viewing abstrct or similar of course ^^ . That way your drawing style won't end up looking like somone elses.
Basically, always be aware of what you view and how it can effect your own creations. We are all influenced differently. This applies for writing styles too.

Nice topic ^^
If you ever feel halfway through a drawing that you are getting annoyed and bored cause its taking so long. Stop, and go back to it later. Read a book or look at something inspirational to keep you going. Also take frequent brakes, drawing for 6hrs straight might get a little dull.
Another tip-
When drawing sometimes you look over details etc. If in drawing software try something like 'flip canvas horiziontal' this way you can check for errors better. I don't know how but it seems to work for me ^^. If paper drawing turn it on the other side and hold it up to the light.
You should always try reference, if you are unsure. It's an artists best friend ^^. Try not to copy/trace the reference though.
